Text Box: Safeguarding the Children Child sexual abusers are only attracted to children and are not capable of appropriate sexual relationships? False. While there is a small subset of child sexual abusers who are exclusively attracted to children, the majority of the individuals who sexually abuse children are attracted to adults. In some cases, they are our friends and even our family members. The Archdiocese o f Los Angeles offers a wealth of information on child safety and child safety training programs for adults and young people.
